The Salon Professional Academy – 2022 Career Fair & Fashion Show

Every year, The Salon Professional Academy hosts a Career Fair for local Salons/Spas to come out and have the chance to speak with the students about future employment opportunities and the industry in general– and this year, we added a Fashion Show for the students to compete in! Who doesn’t love a friendly competition every now and then?

Each student was randomly selected and placed on a team of 4; after choosing a model of their choice, they were given an hour to style their hair, apply their makeup, and get them dressed. The theme of course was all things Love & Valentine’s Day, giving the students LOTS of inspiration for their looks.

After the models walked the catwalk, displaying their team’s talent and hard work, the salons and spas voted on their favorite – and boy, did they have a difficult time choosing! With so many different students and backgrounds, the looks ranged from casual date night, to Old-Hollywood vibes, to a Valentine’s Day wedding; and they did NOT disappoint.

This year’s winners were team Risky Business, who dressed their model in Old-Hollywood style attire. Each winning team member received a bag of prizes – which included Dermalogica Skin Care products, Redken products, Borboleta Lash products, and more.

We were joined by many amazing local salons and spas, and we are so thankful and excited to have them back next time.
