Position Overview:
As an Instructor at The Salon Professional Academy, you’ll be responsible for both theoretical and practical training, guiding students to master their craft while providing support and mentorship throughout their journey. Your role will include:
Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic classroom and hands-on training in both theory and practical applications.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials that inspire learning.
- Supervise students in the salon training area, ensuring they receive real-world experience.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and guidance to students to help them excel.
- Assist front desk support staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Attend regular staff meetings to collaborate with fellow educators and leadership.
Additional Details:
- Reports to: Director of Operations or Lead Educator
- Work Schedule: Flexible options available (Part-Time, Full-Time, and Substitute)
- Compensation: Hourly position with competitive pay rates
Don’t Have an Instructor License? No Problem!
If you don’t yet have a Cosmetology Instructor License, we offer an Instructor Training Program to help you get certified. The program mirrors our cosmetology curriculum and provides hands-on experience. Tuition assistance is available for eligible candidates.

This role is essential in ensuring that every guest receives top-tier hospitality, leaving the academy feeling valued and satisfied. Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception & Check-In/Out: Greet guests warmly, check them in and out, and ensure their needs are met throughout their visit.
- Telephone & Appointment Management: Answer phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and make confirmation calls daily.
- Proactive Service: Anticipate and address guests’ needs, offering personalized service that exceeds expectations.
- Maintain Reception Area: Keep the front desk and surrounding areas tidy, organized, and free of clutter.
- Cash Handling & Sales: Open, close, and balance the cash drawer; assist with sales goals and track performance.
- Student Coaching: Teach students the importance of guest handling, and ensure they are equipped with the skills to succeed.
- Inventory Support: Assist with inventory processes and maintain a well-organized retail area.
- Collaboration: Attend team meetings, training events, and sales events as directed by leadership.
