Elevating the Classroom: TSPA Educators Unite for Advanced Training
Great beauty school education starts with great teachers. At The Salon Professional Academy Holland, we constantly look for ways to improve our classroom and salon floor experience. That is why our academy recently hosted a comprehensive, two-day educator training event right here on our campus! Instructors from TSPA Fargo and TSPA Fort Wayne traveled to our school to collaborate, grow, and refine their teaching skills alongside our own team.
Led by Industry Expert Patrick Guarniere
The intensive training was led by Patrick Guarniere, a massive name in the beauty industry. Patrick is an official Redken Artist and Facilitator. He is also the co-owner and president of TSPA DC. With over 15 years of experience as a hairstylist, educator, and entrepreneur, Patrick brought an incredible wealth of knowledge to our building! His expertise helped our educators discover new ways to inspire and lead the next generation of beauty professionals.
Live Teaching Demos and Direct Coaching
During the two-day event, every attending instructor stepped up to perform a live teaching demo on different salon services. Patrick watched each presentation and gave immediate, valuable feedback. He provided specific tips on how to be a more effective presenter. He also shared advanced methods on how to get students much more involved in their own daily learning.
A Collaborative Learning Environment
The training was highly interactive for everyone in the room! During each teaching demo, Patrick opened up the floor to all the other educators. The instructors shared what they noticed, what they liked about the presentation, and any advice they could offer their peers. This collaborative setup allowed our staff to learn from multiple viewpoints and take fresh ideas straight back to our classrooms!
Our team walked away from this weekend completely energized and inspired. We are excited to put these advanced teaching methods to work on our student salon floor!
