Celebrating Connection: Our Autism Awareness Month Question Wall 🧩✨
At TSPA Holland, we believe that beauty is about more than just what happens in the stylist’s chair—it’s about the strength of our community and the unique stories each of our students brings to the table. This April, we are honored to celebrate Autism Awareness Month by creating a space for reflection, honesty, and support.
Our focus this month is on the Question Wall, a place where our students can share their personal journeys and connect with one another on a deeper level.
The Question: “What is one thing you struggle with, but are actively working on?”
To symbolize the complexity and individuality of the autistic community, our students are writing their answers on paper puzzle pieces. These pieces are then added to our wall, coming together to create a powerful visual of our collective growth.
By asking this question, we want to highlight that everyone—whether neurodivergent or neurotypical—faces unique challenges. Whether it’s mastering a complex hair technique, improving time management, or building confidence, we are all “works in progress.”
Why This Matters to Us
The beauty industry is a place for everyone. By participating in Autism Awareness Month at TSPA Holland, we aim to foster an inclusive environment where every student feels seen and understood. Seeing the wall fill up with puzzle pieces reminds us that while our struggles might be individual, we are never working through them alone.
Come check out the wall! Next time you’re in for a service, take a moment to look at the puzzle pieces. You might just find a story that resonates with your own.
