Bridging the Gap: Alumni Connections March 8, 2021

We all love celebrating success stories…

especially when it’s the success of our alumni!

We’ve gotten together with a few salons in the area who have hired our graduates and interviewed them to highlight their stories. Post-grad life seems far off to current students, but it never is! Our goal in creating these “Alumni Connections” is to bridge the gap between school and salon and to encourage students by showing them a glimpse into their near future. Plus, it’s always nice for us to visit TSPA alumni!

We visited Acquario Salon in Grand Haven and asked the owner, Corey, a few questions, including “What challenges have you faced and how have you overcome them?” and “What do you look for in stylists and staff?”

We asked our alumni, Sydney, a variety of questions as well, some of which included “What advice would you give to current or prospective students at TSPA?” and “What has surprised you about working in a salon?”
