At The Salon Professional Academy of Holland, we believe in having fun, building community, and giving back—and our upcoming May Spirit Week does all three! From May 12–17, students and staff will celebrate each day with a themed dress-up event while raising money for a cause close to our hearts: Love for a Child, a West Michigan organization that supports children in foster care.
Here’s what to expect:
🌟 Each day is just $1 to participate, and every dollar collected goes directly to Love for a Child.
🎉 The Themes:
Monday, May 12 – Decades Day
Travel back in time and dress from your favorite era—whether it’s the groovy ’60s, the disco ’70s, the retro ’80s, or the grunge ’90s! (Blue jeans are okay.)
Tuesday, May 13 – Team Color Day
Each instructor and department has a special theme—show your team spirit by wearing your assigned color or pattern!
Wednesday, May 14 – Animal Print & Jeans Day
Unleash your wild side with your favorite animal print attire. (Blue jeans are okay.)
Thursday, May 15 – TSPA Shirt & Jeans Day
It’s Senior Signing Day! Represent our academy with your TSPA shirt and jeans.
Friday, May 16 – Fancy Friday
Dress to impress in professional attire (like career fair outfits—no blue jeans).
Saturday, May 17 – Spring Dresses
Celebrate spring in your favorite floral or seasonal dress! (Must meet dress code—no tank tops, short hemlines, or low cuts.)
✨ Why We Dress Up
This isn’t just about fashion and fun. Every dollar raised will support Love for a Child, a nonprofit that mentors and advocates for children who have experienced trauma in the foster care system. Their work provides hope, healing, and connection—and we’re proud to partner with them.
Let’s make this week colorful, meaningful, and full of heart. We can’t wait to see your creativity and kindness shine!
